The magic of hosting events

In a world increasingly dominated by AI and screens, bringing people together and creating opportunities for real connection has become more essential than ever. This is what inspired my friend Kanita Wang and me to create Spark, an event designed to foster connection and human interaction in a warm, friendly environment.
Beyond designing the activities and producing the event, I also have the pleasure of hosting Spark in Barcelona, both in English and Spanish. And hosting is, at its core, all about connection. It’s about helping people feel seen, safe, and welcome, while also bringing joy and positive energy into the room. As hosts, we may hold the spotlight, but our real role is to tune into our audience and make sure they feel genuinely cared for.
It’s deeply rewarding to create spaces where people can step away from digital noise, connect more authentically, and be reminded of what makes us human.
